Tombstalker: Black Crusades

This is a wild album, filled with chaotic sounds, crushing guitars, and crazy vocals. Even though the band is best described as death metal, there's a surge of thrash throughout this release that puts them squarely in the camp of early Sepultra, Bolt Thrower, and other similar bands. What I dug about this album was how relentless it is; just check out any track and you'll discover a band pushing itself and the music in very vigorous ways. Check out the power of "Black Crusades" or "Soul Eater." I'd also recommend "Chaos Enthroned," a tune that makes superb use of a tolling bell. If you like energetic thrash played with a death metal overlay, this is for you.
