This is an excellent split release by two masterful death / doom /sludge bands. Though each band has its own sound and style, they blend well under the circumstances. Even though both songs are good, "Cult of the Throne" is a runaway hit mostly because of the catchy and crushing riff that shows up about a third of the way into it.
