Fubear.: III

Stoner rock is like comfort food, it always sounds good and you never get completely tired of it. Fubear. understands the warmth and power of stoner rock and they play it well. There isn't much here that fans of the style haven't heard before, but Fubear has a strong, clean, sound and shows off good songwriting skills. I was especially impressed with the power of the vocals on this release. They are clean, soulful, and sincere. Similarly, the drumming is playful and funky, a highlight of the band's overall style. Don't worry guitars—I haven't forgotten about you! I liked them best when they were fuzzy and warm, grooving along to the rest. I would have liked even more, but I liked what I heard from start to finish. Check out "Half Alive" and "III" but give "Demons" a shot as well. I think you'll like it.
