Ready for an unrelenting assault of technical death metal ferocity & bombast? If so, then look no further than the upcoming Unique Leader release from Oregon's Omnihility, titled Dominion of Misery. Comprised of Steve Crum (Drums), Adam Toepfer (Vocals), Dan Rabago (Guitars), and Isamu Sato (Bass), this four piece doesn't pretend to make nice and hit the listener with artistic nuances, instead, Dominion of Misery pulverizes with violent, savage intent, the riffs massive yet technical, the blast beats furious, and the vocal growls menacing and brutal. Just listen to the crushing riffage and blazing lead fills of "Immaculate Deception" or the uncanny time changes of "Psychotic Annihilation" for proof of just how extreme and how technical these guys can get. Obscura they are not, so don't look for all the little atmospheric jazzy bits and layers of prog, as Omnihility are all about punishing the listener with their brutal and precise assault. "Dead Eden" has some killer, off-kilter riffs and jagged lead work, while "Necrotic, Consumption, Obsession" is just a blazing, jaw dropping display of Origin inspired technical ferocity featuring a non-stop cavalcade of riffs and blast beats.
Subtle Dominion of Misery is not, but it doesn't need to be. Omnihility are dead serious about their intent to punish and obliterate with this latest release, so if you are a technical death metal fan, your armageddon has arrived.
