Occult: Elegy For The Weak

Mein Gott, mein neck hurts. Too much thrashing and bashing and acting like a maniac with this little platter o' disaster on the old digital turntable. Not only does this here outfit have some major points coming its way for what the kids call sheer brutality and musical originality, it manages to take the same old thrash/death themes and make them work once more, come across as stunningly virginal, whether "Nuclear Torment," "Nocturnal Predator," or "Slaughtering The Pigs." More brutal and relentless that a number of other bands that take inspiration from '80s-era acts such as a li'l ol' band from El Lay called Slayer. Nothing in this world compares to the gauntlet of "Reaper's Call." Gawd. This is the real deal. No chit.
