Get Your Bulls Out is album number four from Messiah's Kiss, the hard rocking and rolling German quintet who formed back in 2001. A band that started off by paying homage to the NWOBHM they have subsequently developed their sound and whilst no nonsense kick ass hard rock is still the blueprint they have injected their own sense of identity. Refreshingly they are also a band that doesn't take themselves too seriously (as you may have deduced from both the album title and striking cover art work) and they are very much of the view that heavy metal should be fun for both the musicians and audience alike. Sadly they have been off the scene for the past few years due to health issues of various members notably guitarist and songwriter George Kraft and vocalist Mike Tirelli.
The songs here are littered with face melting solos and hard hitting, aggressive riffs with plenty of melody added for good measure. There are plenty of nods in the direction of power metal and speed metal and the gang style "we are all in this together" approach to the choruses works well to complement the balls to the wall approach of Tirelli. Chest thumping anthems such as 'Immortal Memory', 'Fuel for Life' and 'Who's The First To Die' will be lapped up by the old school and the band play with bags of energy and self-assurance. With some difficult years behind them this makes for a welcome return to the fray.
