Daniels, Neil: Made Of Metal - A Casual Guide to the Music of Rob Halford (Book)

Very much something of an expert on all things Priest-related this marks (by my reckoning) Neil Daniels' fourth book concentrating on either the band itself or its individual members. Whilst not by any means a biography like his excellent Defenders of the Faith from a few years back, this handy guide focuses on the solo work of the Metal God, Rob Halford. It is the latest in a collection of "Casual Guides..." from the author that has already taken in the likes of Bryan Adams and Neal Schon and will imminently include Queen's Brian May with doubtless many more to follow.

Following a similar format to the aforementioned efforts this has a pocket sized biog of the man himself and then explores his endeavors with the underrated Fight, the bizarre Two and of course Halford, the band where he finally returned to doing what his fans had demanded in the first place. The book also includes a timeline, trivia section, discography and assorted reviews and is great read for fans of either the band or the man himself.
