Nightglow: Orpheus

Kicking off in 2003 the band Nightglow played classic heavy metal as fans of eighties English groups. They were also known as the official Italian Manowar tribute band, and Nightglow have also performed with notable foreign acts. I haven't heard their first album We Rise but this metal group have a new album Orpheus which I sure have. Nightglow's thunderous metal has a more modern sound than I was expecting with a thrash input, and with a mixture of intense screaming and clean vocals.

Orpheus is too inconsistent for my tastes so it's not the kind of release that I could see myself rushing back to constantly. I actually found the best tracks to be the last two "On My Knees" and "Orpheus". "On My Knees" is powerful and catchy and the vocal harmonies on the chorus are very good. Nightglow really should cut back on those tedious screams and make better use of their clean vocals. As the band do know how to unleash some rather appealing music and then just maybe the mix would work better.
