Here we have a new, near 12-minute piece by cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne, who some of you might remember delivered the stunning Between Worlds with vocalist Heather Sita Black under the guise of The Visit earlier this year. Here on Shattered Dreams he's paired with pianist Ylan Chu, and the two weave some haunting melodies that merge the genres of classical music with prog-metal, resulting in some beautiful passages that take 'chamber rock' to a new level. With 4 cellos creating sumptuous sounds and Chu's majestic piano soaring into daring flights of fancy, this is a highly evocative & stimulating affair, once again light years away from Raphael's technical death metal act Cholera but no less impressive.
