"Doctor Demon" sounds like an evil spirit that you would never want to visit, one who is the topic of a wickedly catchy song on this here album. Recorded by Transport League who are one band that I had never experienced up until recently that is, and my introduction to this group has sure been a positive one. If you are a supporter of those rousing rockers Clutch then Transport League are certainly worth considering. Transport League's new album Boogie From Hell is a great gathering of addictive fun songs, fans of ballsy rock are well catered for.
These Swedish heavy rockers formed in 1994 and have released four albums and an EP. The band did break up in 2005 but it turned out to be only a temporary hiatus as Transport League then reformed in 2009. And once again the League were eagerly rocking up a storm, that is the heavy duty line-up of vocalist/guitarist Tony Jelencovich, lead guitarist Peter Hunyadi, bass player Lars Haglund and delivering those hefty beats is drummer Mattias Starander. Boogie From Hell sure has its share of curious song titles to say the least, like opening track "Swing Satanic Swing" which begins with a fitting Rob Zombie style sound clip, and swing they do as Transport League gets their irresistible power groove on. Transport League don't have any room or need for ballads on Boogie From Hell this band is packing attitude, hitting hard and kicking ass with an album full of great tunes.
