Discovered by the one and only Willie Dixon at the ripe old age of 3 years old, Lucky Peterson would put out his first record at the age of 5 and has never looked back. Peterson and his band put forth a scorcher of a performance here on I'm Back Again, leading off with his co-penned and title track and then manages to tear it up throughout this 73 minute effort with more original music and white hot covers like Willie Dixon's "I'm Ready", Johnny Guitar Watson's tour de force, "Ta' Ta' You" or the Ray LaMontagne written barn burner that is "Trouble". This record is a party from the word go and you will feel like you are in the middle of the fun.
Modern Blues doesn't get much better than I'm Back Again and Lucky Peterson just adds another notch on to his already expanding legend. This sprawling 11 track live disc is a great representation of the Blues power of Lucky and his band and the fun that they unleash to a live audience. Get the party started with this excellent live album.
