Ana Never: Live For The Very First Time

If lilting strung out instrumentals in the vein of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, MONO or early Explosions in the Sky is your thing then you need to get involved with Ana Never. Ana Never have caught the perfect embodiment of this post rock sound and captured live for your ears to participate in.

One can only sit and listen to these cinematic soundscapes in awe as they sculpture the air, creating imaginary grandeur, colourful musical scenery. One has to ask the question how so little can create so much? A smorgasbord of sounds, soaring guitar work, dynamic bass lines and stunning percussive interactions that fills the ether with passion and musical poetic prose, that lifts and carries you on a journey of delight, undulating passion, punctuating the voyage with precision as it ebbs and flows.

No Words Left slowly sets the scene but it doesn't take long before the Serbian maestro's up the ante creating driving crescendos as the instrumentals segue into each other leaving little time for the band to catch their breath but ensuring that they are in the groove and feeling the moment, something that is evident and conveyed across this release. Fucking Big Picture, Gorgeous One and To Die For could not have been named more perfect.

The outstanding feature of this release is the quality of the sound production that captures every little nuance perfectly adding to the whole effect. Ana Never's Live For The Very First Time comes highly recommended from these quarters. As I say if you are a fan of the aforementioned bands, then you will love this release.
