Polish stoner rock veterans are closing in on their 25th anniversary, yet here in the US they are relatively unknown to metal fans who enjoy this kind of muscular, heavy hitting music. Devil's Share is their latest release for Metal Mind Productions, and features 11 songs filled with beefy riffing and driving rhythms. Some of the tunes are quite catchy, fist pumping anthems that dare you to pull out your air guitar and bang thy head. "This is the Day", "Story of Things That Should Not Be", "Grime Whorehouse", and "Inspire" contain some fat riffs & deep grooves, more than enough firepower to get your blood pumping. To show they don't take themselves too seriously, they've thrown in the humorous "Born to be Zakk Wylde", an homage to Steppenwolf, Black Label Society, Dio, and Black Sabbath, which any longtime heavy rock fan will get a kick out of. In the end, there's not really anything here that's going to offend nor knock your socks off with that 'wow' factor, but what Corruption do they do quite well. Any fan of Orange Goblin, Kyuss, Monster Magnet, BLS, Down, and Crowbar certainly will find much to like on Devil's Share.
