Fair Warning: The Box

German band Fair Warning have been around roughly forever and SPV have decided that now is the time to put out a huge box set of their work. I assume that their business model suggests that there is a market for a Fair Warning box set or else this much FW would be faintly ridiculous. That isn't to say that this isn't music of high quality because it definitely is. This is melodic rock of the very highest quality, much of it sounding like a cross between Gotthard and Foreigner. Covering the period of 1997 to 2009 this is probably all the Fair Warning any sane person could comprehend in one sitting. Arguably the band's best moments are ballads such as "Falling" or "Save Me" but they can rock out with the best of them when the mood takes them. The live album doesn't add much to the package but this is a splendid place to make yourself acquainted with the band if you haven't already.
