Hot on the heels of their successful 2013 release The Eldritch Dark, Blood Ceremony are releasing the single "Let It Come Down", along with a cover of Iron Claw's "Loving You" as the B-side. The main cut is a perfect example of what makes this band so unique, combining the late '60s psychedelia of Jefferson Airplane with the doom of Black Sabbath, the folky prog of Jethro Tull, and the classy hard rock of Deep Purple. It's all here on this very fine song...the enchanting female vocals, the soaring flute, the meaty riffs, and driving rhythms. If you've loved their previous output, this song slides right in there. I'm sure not many have heard of the obscure Scottish heavy rock band from the early '70s Iron Claw (definitely seek out their self-titled album, it's a good one), but Blood Ceremony take their tune "Loving You" and make it their own. Heavy stuff, with lots of flute and beefy riffs. In short, this will serve as a tasty treat for fans while the band readies their next slab of mystical rock.
