Dyscarnate: And So It Came to Pass (reissue)

Here we have a reissue of the sophomore full-length from UK death metal trio Dyscarnate, thanks to the folks at Siege Of Amida Records/Century Media Records. Though it was originally released in 2012, if you are an extreme metal fan and didn't get the chance to check this one out two years ago, you have absolutely no reason not to at this point in time. Much better produced than their debut Enduring the Massacre, And So It Came to Pass explodes with power from start to finish, the drums crystal clear in the mix and the guitars up front and center. Brutal tracks like "In the Face of Armageddon", A Drone in the Hive", "Engraving Ecstasy", and the massive "The Promethean" are, quite frankly, killer examples of pure, unadulterated death metal. There are no frills here, just brutality & power, all perfectly executed for maximum effect. Though the epic nature of "Kingdom of the Blind" reminds a tad of Immolation or Hate Eternal, much of And So It Came to Pass stands on its own and is very original sounding. Now that we've seen reissues of both of the bands full-length albums, I think it's about time for some new material, don't you agree?
