Decadent Melancholic Art is the classification we are given of the material from the band called Lenore S Finger's. Katatonia, Anathema, Type O Negative, Antimatter and The Gathering are noted as some of those established acts that this group is influenced by. As for the band's unusual name it is taken from "Roman Dirge's comic Lenore, The Cute Little Dead Girl and David Firth's fantasy character Salad Fingers".
Lenore S Finger formed in 2010 and Inner Tales is this Italian five piece group's first album and was over two years in the making. Their songs show a wide range of variety which is due to the members having different styles and their range of influences from various kinds of metal bands. Lenore S Finger's female vocalist and guitarist Federica Lenore Catalano's gentle vocals are backed by a varying array of music and atmospheric effects and it all comes together very well. Inner Tales blends sombre and lively music, while some tracks like "Victoria" and the upbeat rocker "The Calling Tree" one of the standout tracks have the band locked in that lively side.
Inner Tales is an interesting release that sounds crystal clear from this talented female fronted group, and it's so nice to hear a new group that are doing their own thing not just following everyone else.
