A band worthy of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of Slayer, The Haunted and the almighty At The Gates, A Perfect Murder unleashes the freakin' fury here with 14 tracks of unbridled mayhem that'll have you screaming, "Mommy!" before you turn around to listen once more. The guitar duo of Regis Guerin and Michael Hartsfield makes vicious use of its strings, raging supreme on the opening "Jaded" and others such as "Slave To The Clock" and "Another Day, Another Plague." Meanwhile Tom Stretton's drum attack feels like the equivalent of an air raid-cum-coup de grace as vocalist Isaac Golub belts out the agony of a million tortured souls with an intensity too little heard from chaps these days. (Bassist Anthony Tetrow makes good in the Sherman Tank string attack as well.) We could go on with another agonizing list of superlatives but that'd just be wasting your precious time. Get out and get this bugger for yourself.
