Majesty Of Revival: Iron Gods

2014 is shaping up to be a year to remember for power metal fans with a multitude of promising new releases on the horizon, speaking of which the band Majesty Of Revivals's excellent second release Iron Gods Is now available. This dynamic neo classical power metal act have returned with a great selection of seriously catchy songs.

Majesty Of Revival are fired up on "Nameless Guest" with a strong Neo Classical element the band show of their strong creative skills. They top it off with very appealing solos displaying more of their talents, as this is a band of very capable musicians. It gets even better on "Infernal Grays" with a introduction reminiscent of the great Symphony X. The chorus is just awesome, it's the combinations and variety of vocals and music on this release which are such a strong attraction. If scintillating keyboards the kind in that vein of metal groups like Artension and Ring Of Fire with their accomplished keyboardist Vitalij Kuprij are your thing then tracks like "Lost Empire" will be sure to impress. "Wicked Game" has a darker vocal introduction soon reverting back to the clean tones soaring at times and their drummer is kept busy with all the tempo changes.

"Close Your Eyes" is such a welcome song with a strong Sonata Arctica feel both vocally and musically though it's thankfully not in their later style. Once again Majesty Of Revival dish out some serious shredding on "Masked Illusion II & III" and the keyboards and guitars are also given plenty of space to impress on "Iron Gods" the rather long title number.

Iron Gods is an impressive album Majesty Of Revival are one of the most exciting metal groups to appear in recent times.
