Psychema: Dust Of Bygones (EP)

Dust of Bygones is an entertaining four song EP from these Finnish prog metallers, who released debut album The Entry Point back in 2012. This new offering continues in much the same vein; dark and sinister passages dovetailing with just enough moments of melody to broaden the bands appeal. The title track appears in a more commercially friendly radio edit format together with an abbreviated version of 'Solace in Void' which is taken from the aforementioned album release. Of the two brand new songs then 'Dust of Bygones' is the more immediate but both show a band that is forging ahead with considerable spark and creativity.
