Oresund Space Collective: Organic Earthly Floatation

Organic Earthly Floatation is the latest album by the Oresund Space Collective, released in 2012. The Oresund Space Collective is an ever evolving roster of some of space rock's finest musicians. Dr Space and Mogens are two of the constant members who help shape this 16th dreamy adventure into the cosmos. The album was recorded at the Black Tornado Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark back in April 2012.

Members of the Danish band Papir, including: Kristoffer, on drums; Nicklas, on guitar; and Christian, on bass on "Neptune Rising". Also participating in making this extraordinary journey of the mind are Par from the bands Sgt. Sunshine, Carpet Knights, Hoofoot plays bass through the rest of the production. Daniel Lars, and American guitarist also rounded out the roster of musicians on this opus. Eetu Pellonpaa drew the incredible artwork for the album's cover and inner CD booklet.

This album is generous ride through the cosmos filled with launching guitar and soothing keyboards which sound perfect delivered over earphones in the comfort of an easy chair. All of the tracks are meant to relax and take your mind away from its current worries or concerns. Drift out in space with the soothing vibe.

My favorite track was the Carlos Santana inspired guitar opus titled, "Carlos on the Moon". But there are no down sides to this masterpiece of space floatation.

Sit back, close your eyes and dream of the future, when we actually might be able to go into space whenever we desire. What music will you take? Bet the OSC will be amongst your first choices.
