Crommie, Daniel: When Wendy Was Walter

Nothing that friends haven't done on their home studios. Crommie has mastered the art of a cool mix, a decent beat and capturing the perfect vibe for a tune that might appear in some offbeat movie running in perpetuity on USA Up All Night but not much more. Tracks blend together, using semi-imaginative beats and melody lines that are then beaten into the ground until the track winds its way to an end somewhere around three-and-a-half to four minutes later. (Though one tune reaches over six minutes in length.) Crommie's roughly 20 years too late with his homegrown dance club music and while some of it supposedly dates back to 1986, it seems unlikely that it was any fresher or more interesting then.
