Lita Ford's last album Living Like a Runaway went some way to rescuing her status after the utter disaster that was Wicked Wonderland. It's somewhat curious then that her new release is a live album. Live albums are surely a punctuation point at significant junctures in careers are they not? Surely she should have ploughed on and made a new record before even thinking about another live release? Unlike the Greatest Hits Live! from a few years back this one has no new studio tracks at all so is kind of a greatest hits album itself although there's no sign of "Shot of Poison".
Starting somewhat strangely with a cover of Elton John's the "Bitch is Back" (it was a bonus track on Living Like a Runaway) this is a solid album which covers new tracks such as "Relentless", "Living like a Runaway", "Devil in My Head" and "Hate" with most of the hits anyone would require of Lita Ford. Unsurprisingly Ozzy Osbourne doesn't turn up on "Close My Eyes Forever" which may or may not be a bonus depending upon your point of view. The Bitch Is Back Live is fun but wholly inessential unless you live somewhere where Ms Ford never tours anymore such as here in the UK.
