Dark Design: Prey for the Future

Prey for the Future was recorded earlier this year by John E Wooten (Widow U.S) and mastered by Jamie King at The Basement Studios and is Dark Design's debut album. It's a highly competent power metal/thrash album both technically and in terms of the songs and production but it's just all so…uninspiring. You know there's potential trouble when the cover song outshines the rest so obviously. Here it's "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas. Of the original songs the rather tasty, more technical "Meditations" stands out but overall this is a bit of a letdown.
