Krampl, Gerald: Solo Piano Collectibles

Gerald Krampl was born in Vienna, Austria in 1954. He is trained in classical piano and music theory and began his musical career as a composer, pianist and keyboard player back in the early 1970s. He was a member of the famous progressive rock band Kyrie Eleison, and later started the prog rock band Indigo in the 1980s. He has been involved with music in one way or another for over 45 years.

Krampl opens this compilation album using his favorite Euterpe piano playing the brand new track "Angel Walking By". This track along with "Leaving Winter", and "Walking the Last Mile" are new tracks created for this collectible album.

Solo Piano Collectibles is full of wonderful piano from beginning to end. No vocals, no bass, no drums, just piano filling the air and the soundscape. Nothing to get in the way of exquisite piano simply radiating throughout the room. The other nine tracks on the album are re-worked or revised tracks from Krampl's over 45 year discography of music. Form his solo to his group productions.

My favorite tracks were: "Angel Walking By", "Leaving Winter", "Tomorrow, Come What May", "Childhood Days", "Cascade", and "Thinking of You". However, every track on the album is a winner.
