Reach: Patterns in Static

I must confess that ordinarily modern alt-rock isn't something that I would choose to listen to but we do like to expand our minds here at SoT and Patterns in Static has quite a lot going for it. It is full of energy for a start and whilst it is decidedly shouty there are some nice melodies in there to juxtapose with the shoutiness, "The Artificial" is a good example. It is possible that over a full album I'd lose interest but on this feisty EP Reach have er, reached out to me and I'm pretty glad that they have.
