Personalities is a new album exhibiting the clever work of Simone Fiorletta an exciting Italian guitarist, this skilled and adaptable musician is also an experienced one as this is Simone's fourth solo venture. Besides recording instrumentals for his own albums Simone has performed with the progressive metal groups No Gravity and Moonlight Comedy.
Appearing on this album is a strong line-up complementing his songs as Simone has brought along bass player Dino Fiorenza and various guest musicians, such as four different drummers including drum master John Macaluso (Yngwie Malmsteen, ARK and many others) who lays down the beats on three songs. The guitar isn't Simone's only instrument as he performs the majority of the keyboards with the exception of "To The Station" where you can get to hear keyboardist Andrea De Paoli of the great Italian metal group Labyrinth.
Personalities is an album with such inviting songs as Simone performs different styles and varies the intensity from an impactful athletic guitar style to an more peaceful acoustic component. Also Simone is not one to sacrifice the quality or flow of his material by over saturating the album with flashy solos.
Drummer Marco Aiello unloads with a great lively performance on "Ascent" as Simone gets down to business with his busy guitar work and backs that up by another sweeping performance on "Your Grit Is My Reason Of Life". "Waiting To See You Again" more tasteful drum patterns and that captivating guitar. There is more than just rock and metal as being such a versatile player Simone gets his funk mode on for "In Time Of War".
Personalities takes the listener on a varied instrumental experience one that's really worth checking out.
