Jack Dupon: Jesus L' Aventurier

The "album notes" section of Dupon's CDBaby band page for Jesus L' Aventurier, summed it up best, "The music of Jack Dupon is colorful, kind of weird, but also full of humor", (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/jackdupon3, 2013). The lyrics and songs are sung in French. The inner liner notes are also in French.

The band is made up of composer, arranger and chief instrumentalist, Jack Dupon; with Edward Tetzlaff, Xaviar Gomez, Lucette, Henryk Palczewski, Brian Sachs, and Maria Nowak, providing voices and translation. Arnaud M'Doihoma, provides bass and vocals; Gregory Pozzoli, provides guitar and vocals; Thomas Larsen, provides drums and vocals; Phillipe Prebet, provides guitar and vocals; Robbie Boney, provides harmonica and Boston trumpet. Fari-ho & Domi provide the massive amount of artwork available with this release.

This is Frank Zappa fun. Never been a big fan of Zappa, so I will do my best here. Other avant-garde comparisons exist like the bands Xaal, Tiemko, Ulan Bator, Sotos, Zaar and Nebelnest.

Dupon has created two other albums before this project.

There exists some great guitar, drum, bass, and other instrumental work and impressions in between the noises and voices.

Not my cup of tea. But if you like Zappa or the other bands mentioned above you will probably like this album.
