Vazquez, Beto: Wizard EP

The Wizard EP was released in 2002. As one of the main tracks off Beto Vazquez's initial album, 'Infinity', this 'Wizard' EP carries three different versions of the track. But it is a treasure trove of additional tracks featuring five versions of different tracks included on the original Infinity album.

The first track, 'Wizard', is the remastered version of one of the best tracks off Infinity's first album. It is a little different in sound from the original with the keyboards featured more prominently.

'Until Dawn' is a rough mix version of 'Until Dawn (Angels of Light)'. This time with male vocals replacing Tarja Turunen, and including the original lyrics.

'Sadness in the Night' is a radio edit version of the album track of the same name off 'Infinity'. The keyboards seem to play a larger role on this edited and shortened version of the song.

'Wizard (Early Rough Mix)' sounds more acoustic and seems to contain more acoustic and electric guitar than the final album version.

'A Tale That Wasn't Right' (Instrumental Version), is a bonus track, not included on the original 'Infinity' album. But it sounds an awful lot like the music for the track, 'Promises under the Rain'. Excellent lead electric guitar solos, drums, and that harpsichord like key sound make this a nice surprise that would have graced the album well.

'Promises under the Rain', is a version of the song with Candice Night singing the entire song. Although she is fantastic, I am glad that Beto included all three of the ladies on the album version.

'Danjorland' is another non-album bonus track filled with what sounds like Candice Night singing. It sounds a little like the melody of 'Laws of the Future'.

The, Karaoke Version of the 'Wizard' sounds great, but unfortunately it does not contain Sabine Edelsbacher's beautiful voice.

This EP is for the real fan of Infinity and Beto Vazquez's work. You will be able to recognize all the subtle differences in the bonus and extra tracks set against the originals.
