San Antonio's Hod are another one of those underground bands that I'd heard of but never actually got around to checking out. The band have been around since 2007 and prior to The Uncreated Demo, released a split, another demo and a full length. Currently without a label, The Uncreated Demo is a three song furious blur of some of the best blackened death metal I have heard in some time.
Right from the beginning of the demo with "Beneath the Mountains of the Scorpions, the band pummels the listener with straight ahead death metal insanity. The next two songs don't allow the listener to take a breath and lay a sledgehammer across the skull of the listener.
The Uncreated is an absolutely stellar demo that really whets the appetite for more from the band. I would strongly encourage anyone reading this to pick a copy of the demo up as it's limited to only 100 CDs and 125 cassettes which, judging from the quality of the tunes, should sell out fast.
