Iron Knights: New Sound Of War

The Stuka Squadron may have been shot down in flames but in its place arise the Iron Knights with the rallying call to arms of debut album New Sound Of War. Combining the blood, guts and fury of their previous moniker the undead quintet have responded to the challenge and proven they can deliver the goods with this set of nine warmongering metal anthems and an instrumental interlude ('Immortals').

Twin guitarists 'Gravedigger' and 'Doktor' make their presence felt throughout and showcase some high energy riffs and solos with the interplay between them at times a joy to hear. 'Jerico', 'First Legion' and 'Tell Me Strange Things' are just three of the inglorious battle cries that weave tales of mystery and imagination set against a backdrop of a full throttle metal assault. Lead vocalist 'Fang' channels the spirit of all of the classic metal singers from throughout the ages as he moves from bloodthirsty screams ('Bloodstorm', 'Desert Fox') to sinister and melodic ('Feeder of Crows'). With the pounding rhythm section of 'The Hammer' and 'The Bomber' keeping it all together the Iron Knights have the perfect line-up to rise from the crypt and bring their metal message to the masses.
