Black: Black

Thrash with an obvious attempt at musical interest. Very heavy, thick music filled with scary titles like "Slit the Wrist", "Dark Gift" and "Elephant Man." But not the typical dross coughed up by most thrash acts: while overly heavy, I also hear elements of Nine Inch Nails and...80's metal! That's right, underneath all this unhappiness is a guitar player unafraid to burn like there's no tomorrow. I don't know who he is, but he's a busy camper.

The kick drum is too loud on some tracks ("F.B.I." in particular), but awesome cuts like "Creep" and "Useless" are as near perfect as you can get. Also worth mentioning is the wierd but compelling "Strange 48". Very cool album.
