Aparecidos: Palito Bombon Helado

Aparecidos were established by Argentine brothers Facundo and Santiago Moreno, who left Argentina in 2001 to settle in the Italian "prog hub" of Genoa. Along with Facundo Moreno, who plays classical guitar and charango; and his brother, Santiago Moreno, who plays classical guitar; Aparecidos are made up of Tommaso Rolando, on contrabass and electric bass; Marco Ravera, on electric guitar; Mattia Tommasini, on violin; Santo Florelli, on drums; and Manuel Merialdo, on percussion and glockenspiel. Guest artists include: Filippo Gambetta, on diatonic accordion; and Tatiana Zakharova, on vocals for 'Impro'.

This album is full of Argentina's rich musical tradition, based on European roots, which mingle well with African and indigenous influences. Every track of this jazz-based music is full of life and rhythm that will get you in the perfect mood for sitting in a bistro on a warm summer day or hopefully dancing. Full of emotion and interesting instrumental arrangements. A nice short journey within a CD.

From the joy-filled opener, 'Tanto Gonfio Saremo', through the bell and chime - filled opening of 'Peperina en el Semaforo'. There is a feast of wonderful music with which you can feel the beat and savor the zest for life and love.

Get this to shrug those winter doldrums and begin dreaming of spring.
