Evil Army: I, Commander EP
This is the kind of EP my friends and I would sit around listening to back in the 80s when we discovered punk and thrash metal. This is nothing less than the kind of high-energy blend of thrash and hardcore that fans of the music treasure, no matter how short the release. I haven't heard of Evil Army until recently, but I like them. Their music is nothing less than a bursting and exciting example of thrash metal as it was meant to be performed: fast and fierce, without any attempt to please critics, radio stations, or anybody else for that matter. Bands like this remind listeners that thrash is often performed best when it's free of commercial interests. If you've got nine minutes to spare and you love to thrash, this may be just the thing you need. If you only have three minutes, listen to "I Must Destroy You." If you don't have any time for this, then there is no pleasing you.
