Mind of Doll: Shame on Your Shadow

Mind of Doll are one of the seemingly thousands of bands on Inverse Records via Secret Entertainment from Finland. They play garage rock, they play it well. It's good but they are a little out of time as the garage revival was a few years ago and the next coming of the genre is probably a little while a way.

The reference points provided for the band are The Hellacopters, Smack and the Backyard Babies. I'm a big fan of both The Hellacopters and the Backyard Babies so I guess I'm pre-disposed to like Mind of Doll. They certainly aren't as sleazy as the Backyard Babies and not as subtle as The Hellacopters but in songs like "Bad Shivers" they show real talent & tightness in their playing and definitely require to be played as loud as possible.
