An Irish metal band now that does sound interesting, the band is 7 Days Dead and they are from Northern Ireland. 7 Days Dead formed in 2011 and now have a new EP called Beyond Within.
7 Days Dead are a powerful sounding four piece group, their lead singer Ryan McManus sounds like he has taken some inspiration from Metallica's James Hetfield with the style of which he delivers his vocals. Sure this suits the music just fine but also serves as a detraction and to some extent it just turned me off this EP, after all I'm not listening to a Metallica release.
7 Days Dead has released an EP with a heavy and dark feel, the musicianship is strong enough and each track comes and goes but without compelling me to invest that much time listening to this release.
The four tracks on Beyond Within didn't completely outstay their welcome as there are those instrumental parts that gained my interest. But really there is just not enough as I don't find myself captivated enough either and there are better options than Beyond Within.
