Sherwood, Billy: The Art of Survival
Billy Sherwood is the famous multi-instrumentalist from the band Circa and World Trade. Sherwood is also a music composer, record producer and past member of the band Yes. All of the tracks and instruments on Art of Survival were written, produced, and performed by Sherwood.
The Art of Survival is up to Sherwood's usual high standards. The lead and bass guitar work and keys are similar to Circa. The drums are solid and provide a great kick start and rhythm on each track.
My favorite tracks on the album are "The Military Industrial Complex", (a track tracing the evolution or history of the USA's MAD doctrine would be fertile ground for further exploration); "Faith That We Belong"; "Drone Deciphers", and it's special effects; "I Must Begin Again"; "Humming Along", and "Humanity".
More great music from Billy. If you are a fan you will want this album to add to your collection. If you're new to Sherwood's work, welcome. Start here and work your way back through his vast catalog.
