Mustasch: Sounds Like Hell, Looks Like Heaven

Ralf Gyllenhammar - vocals and rhythm guitar, David Johannesson - lead guitar, Stam Johansson - bass guitar and Jejo Perkovid – drums are Mustasch and Sounds Like Hell, Looks Like Heaven has already achieved gold status in Sweden. Whilst there's absolutely nothing wrong with this album I really can't see it pulling up that many trees elsewhere. "Speed Metal" for instance is fine but doesn't exactly go anywhere before fading out.

"The Challenger" has a low-down dirty sound to it and kind of sounds like Ian Astbury has joined Raging Slab and throughout the album the band is tight and rocking yet somehow lacking songs which stick in the memory after you've gone away and done something else. Therein lies the rub, it's perfectly fine but ultimately inessential. I can't put my finger on anything else wrong but somehow the parts don't make as much of a whole as one may expect.
