Baton Rogue Morgue: Hat Trick (EP)

Six track EP from these feel-good rockers Baton Rogue Morgue finds them proudly displaying their Metal influences for all to hear as they revisit the era when Hard Rock anthems were the staple diet of MTV. The Finnish quintet previously toured the USA, Australia, Croatia and Italy in support of their 2009 debut, "High End of the Season", which received strong reviews around the world and this is a welcome follow-up. With wailing guitars, shredding solos, punchy choruses and titles such as 'Tokyo Nights' and 'Hellride', BRM are a band that deliver exactly what you expect in a no-frills, power packed 20 odd minutes of Priest, Maiden, Scorpions adulation. Sometimes less is most definitely more and by releasing an EP that is all killer, no filler, 'Hat Trick' is a CD that you will soon be hitting the play button on again. Great job!
