I must admit that I rarely enjoy drone music. It is normally interesting to listen to, but I do not enjoy it like I enjoy, say, doom metal or classic progressive rock. Darsombra is a drone rock duo, so I did not expect to be completely blown away by their Climax Community to completely blow me away. And I was not blown away, but I was positively surprised by the musicality of the three tracks on the album. A lot of drone music strikes me as being more soudscape than music, but Climax Community is surprisingly musical, featuring vocal melodies, guitar melodies, and even some guitar riffs. There is of course a lot of atmosphere on the album, drone music being all about atmosphere, and the melody and atmosphere go well together. There is a certain darkness to Climax Community, but the melodic elements take a bit of the edge off it. So, for my money, this album is a quite good drone album.
