War From A Harlots Mouth: Voyeur
War From A Harlots Mouth are not a subtle German group at all. The intro "Origin" gives no signs of what this band will soon unleash, being a brief semi breather before War From A Harlots Mouth come roaring to life and strike you with their very heavy duty and complex metal on the first track "Vertigo".
Mathcore and technical metal have been used to describe War From A Harlots Mouth, as with most similar metal recordings there is a great deal to take in. Groups like this continue to go all out with their performances so you can't help but admire the abilities of those musicians involved. But playing ability isn't everything if the appealing songs aren't present and try as I have I just can't get totally into this release; it's just missing something. Granted, the more extreme of metal genres are something I have come to appreciate much later on than other heavy music stylings, but I have experienced enough over the years to base my comparisons on and there are many other bands that are more to my liking.
While this one is not getting a look in alongside the top of the intense metal releases I have heard this year, but if you feel like experiencing a full on extreme collection of songs then Voyeur is another option.
