LOVE.MIGHT.KILL: 2 Big 2 Fail

Just about a year after their debut LOVE.MIGHT.KILL release their second record and their line-up features Jan Manenti – vocals, Christian Stöver – guitars, Stefan Ellerhorst – guitars, Jogi Sweers – bass, Sascha Onnen – keyboards and Michael Ehré – drums. Michael Ehré is the most well-known of the group as he has previously been associated with acts such as Gamma Ray, Firewind, Metalium or with artists like Uli Jon Roth, Matt "Gonzo" Roehr, Vinnie Moore and Kee Marcello. Mixed and mastered by Markus Teske (Spock´s Beard, Saga, Vanden Plas) at his own Bazement-Studio 2 Big 2 Fail is, despite the horrid textspeak title, a big, loud, almost pop but mainly rock album chock full of good songs.

If you can think of Firewind without Gus G then I think you'll have a fair approximation of LOVE.MIGHT.KILL's sound. Big riffs, big melodies and a big sound characterise their sound and if you like Euro metal then you'll be digging deep for this one as it's a class above most of its generic counterparts thanks to the quality of the tunes on offer. Even the artwork is a touch above the norm.
