In Dying Arms: Boundaries

In Dying Arms come from Baltimore and feature Orion Stephens (vocals), Justin Enriquez (guitar), John "Walter" Myers (guitar), Terence Bright (bass) and Alvin Richardson (drums). They play downtuned highly uncommercial, pounding metalcore/deathcore. Boundaries is not for the fainthearted nor for the casual listener. For me the best bits are when they slow it down a tad and add some melody as towards the end of "Second Best". That said, the clean vocals are a little weak and when combined with what often sounds like a Gremlin singing the screamy bits In Dying Arms have a vocal sound that is difficult to engage with for my ears. If you like metalcore/deathcore there are plenty of chugging riffs and rhythms to enjoy but as I said earlier this is very much preaching to the converted I suspect.
