Necrodios: Anomie Dominie

One of the cool things about being a reviewer is that you get exposed to a lot of music that you normally wouldn't hear. Since I've started doing this I have probably heard hundreds of good bands that I would never have even known existed if I wasn't doing this. The other cool thing is that doing this also gets one more interested in actually looking for underexposed bands that are need of attention, like for example, Necrodios.

I haven't been able to pin down much information on the band other than the fact that they are from Ontario and other than that, the band's Facebook and Metal-Archives pages are completely devoid of any other information. However, that's OK because really the music is the thing right?

And, oh man how good this music is! Self-released, Anomie Dominie is a fucking massive blast of galloping death metal that will have you banging your head from beginning to end. This is some heavy and brutal, yet at times even catchy death metal that really has no business being self-released. The band is so good at what they do it is really unbelievable to me that they are actually unsigned. Also, the fact that there is so little promotion on the band (Try finding a review!) is really tragic as this album is fantastic.

Buy the CD and don't bother downloading a digital copy off of their Bandcamp as the presentation of the CD is fantastic too. The artwork, band photos and the ability to read the lyrics really rounds out an awesome experience. I look forward to hearing more from these guys in the future and really hope that they get more exposure. They certainly deserve it!
