Devil I Know are completely new to me so let's have a little look at what their people say about them shall we? The band's songs do contain some familiar elements but these guys are no copycats – they have their own sound and that sound happens to be pretty damn good! Driven by catchy singalong choruses, heavy rock riffs and high-quality production, Devil I Know is on its way to something bigger."
I'm not too sure that I see, "Hardcore Superstar, Avenged Sevenfold and even Black Label Society," in their work as Devil I Know have a much better grasp of melody than any of those bands and are much, much poppier. I can certainly see the young people going for this album given the right amount of exposure. They even deploy some defiant swearing in "Scream and Shout" yet have radio-friendly choruses liberally strewn throughout the album, a case in point being "One Last Dance" which has HIT written all over it. A very pleasant surprise.
