Teodor Tuff: Soliloquy

Second album from Teodor Tuff sees them hone a more metal sound with a distinct Eastern feel. Don't be fooled by the first track "Godagar" and its operatic warbling, things soon enter the heavy assault of guitars with 'The Last Supper' which crunch along with a satisfying sense of power. The barrage of heavy hooks and melodies soon surround you in a sea of guitar fuelled exuberance with 'Delusions Of Grandeur' bordering on thrash. Soliloquy is a unique album of many influences, exciting music to feast the ears on is a rare thing and this certainly ticks many boxes. The impressive vocal talents of Terje Hary keep the momentum alive, this is true talent on display. Its sonic ambiance is massive, every instrument batters out of the speakers with a fiery urgency. Featuring a guest appearance from Annihilator's Jeff Waters you can get an idea of where the guitars go from there.

Teodor Tuff has come out of the blocks with a complete curveball of an album, a pleasant interlude from the usual Metal Machine.
