Cultfinder: Black Thrashing Terror

One of the best Bathory worship bands I've heard in some time, Cultfinder are only concerned with being ferociously rabid. Throughout this ten-minute hysterical episode, you'll be barraged by first wave of black metal glorification in lyrics and riffs, but most importantly, it is performed with integrity which generally helps anything that's average become above average. "Archangel Burial" stars as a low point, but once the groove settles in, the riffs improve, yet "Witching Curse" and its blasts-to-doom approach has it beat in nefariousness. Obviously there's not too much variation, and depending on what they add, that could add all the more of an impact to a fun, but expiring-by-nature method. It's ten minutes of I-will-eat-your-face metal, why make an excuse for passing it up? Needless to say, I would be happy to see this band as a live show opener and hope to see them improve on their next release.
