Hotel Diablo: The Return To Psycho, California

When vocalist Rick Stitch (Ladyjack and former Adler's Appetite member) and guitarist Alex Grossi finished touring with Steven Adler the original drummer for Guns N' Roses they decided it was time to fire up their own hard rock group, and Hotel Diablo is the name of that group.

With a drummer and bass player on board, that is Mike Dupke and Mike Duda from long running metal band WASP, Hotel Diablo started performing and writing songs. Now this Hollywood based group are all set to introduce others to their material with the release of The Return To Psycho, California. Rick Stitch says this recording is "a collection of stories, true stories, experienced during a time when our lives were filled with mind-altering shots of wretched adrenaline".

The Return To Psycho, California is a solid and well balanced heavy grooving style of release, and opener "Taken" is very catchy and just one of those here that would make great live tracks. I never got into Oasis, as I just didn't care for the vocals, but I don't have that same problem with Hotel Diablo as here they have covered one of Oasis's more popular songs "Wonderwall" and I don't mind their take at all of this Oasis hit, adding a more rocking feel.

If good hard rock is what you desire then there is plenty of that on Hotel Diablo's The Return To Psycho, California.
