Dogbane are a relatively new band featuring members who have plenty of experience in various underground bands. The music is a blend of traditional heavy metal and doom, with more of a focus on the traditional heavy metal side of things. The band have some catchy songs with some good hooks, which is a good thing. The problem though is that although the band has these catchy songs with good hooks, there isn't a hell of a lot that makes Dogbane stand out in the sea of traditional metal bands out there. As it is a debut, I'm going to assume that the band will rectify this on their follow up album. They have a lot of potential they just need to see it utilized as they could end up being a band to watch.
