Royal Hunt: In the Heart of the City (Best Of 1992-1999)
 Hmm, a best of Royal Hunt. Why? Well it is their twentieth anniversary according to Scarlet Records and that deserves a compilation of songs derived from their first five albums which are difficult to find apparently (and somewhat expensive if my trawl of the internet is anything to go by.) Given the existence of the band's very fine live album Royal Hunt Live 2006 it could be argued that there is no need for In the Heart of the City (Best Of 1992-1999) and obviously it is up to the customer whether to invest or not.
Anybody who was to make the choice to purchase this album or not would find some tremendous melodic pompous rock drenched liberally with epic keyboards courtesy of main man Andre Andersen. They would also locate some huge choruses and a sense of scale that many bands reach for but don't reach. As a primer for a fine band it's as good a place as any to start.
